Wendy Williams All Smiles After Learning Kevin Hunter Will Have To Get A Job And Stop Living Off Her

Wendy Williams said she always gets the last laugh. The daytime titan finally stepped out after months of silence and following weeks of stories about her ex-husband Kevin Hunter and his crumbling finances. The talk show host was all smiles as she attended a Fashion Week event. Let’s take a look at her last few weeks and why Williams has so many reasons to smile.

It was not looking great for Wendy a few days ago. Reports stated that her health was on the continued decline and that she had been abandoned by several friends who no longer could stand her in her current state. In addition, the 58-year-old is said to be exhibiting unhinged behavior that began way back before he show’s cancelation. One site reported, “Now the recovering addict’s only companions are paid staff who are waging a desperate effort to keep her clean and sober, insiders dished.” This has not helped her desire to get back on the air since many companies refuse to take her seriously.

However, a win came to Williams in the form of her ongoing court battle with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter. Hunter served as her executive producer and manager for years. When the pair split, it was determined that he would be entitled to alimony for as long as Williams remained working. This was not what Williams had planned, as she revealed during an interview with The View that she handed Hunter his divorce papers and pink slip the same day and took pleasure in leaving him single and unemployed.

Kevin was able to use the money to start his new life with his mistress and fund several businesses, including her vegan chef company, his barbershop, and a restaurant they opened in Brooklyn. Williams’s team reports that in November of 2021, when it was clear Williams would not be returning to her show, that Kevin’s payments would stop. Hunter did not heed those warnings and tried to take her team to court to sue for his money. Hunter reports that he is currently facing foreclosure on his home and is behind and several bills. Their son, Kevin Hunter Jr, was also facing eviction from his Miami pad.

Kevin released a statement to the court saying, “My life has been greatly affected since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement. The fact that I am unable to sustain my life and pay my bills in order is extremely emergent to me. I cannot pay my bills and sustain my day-to-day living.” He was denied his request last week and is still fighting in court.

Watching her ex-husband admit defeat in the media obviously is a win for Williams, who celebrated by stepping out for Fashion Week. Rocking a fitted cap and large pink fur, Williams was assisted through a crowd by security. While she looked fresh-faced, it was obvious her health issues had not improved, and she required assistance walking and looked overwhelmed.

“She still not 100%, but probably just wanted to get out the house,” noted one fan. Supporters in the video can be heard yelling, “yes, Wendy! How you doing!”
