Despite being the lesser-known star of the four, Tiffany Haddish was able to outshine her fellow leading ladies in a breakout performance some likened to the rise of Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaids. Despite being one of Girls Trip biggest draws, it turns out Tiffany Haddish did not make much to star in the movie. Tiffany Haddish reportedly only made $80k from the role. Girls Trip would go on to gross $140 million against its $20 million dollar budget.
In a zoom discussion about the film’s sequel, the ladies revealed that they were all on board and waiting for the green light to make a part two. The comedian was asked to flash her girls for Girls Trip but felt the ask was a bit much considering what she was being paid. “I’m not gonna do it. I got paid the least amount of money outta everybody in the movie and I’m a 31A, I don’t have no boobies,” Tiffany Haddish explained. However, the comedian did say she would have been open to it if she was getting paid what Queen Latifah was being paid.
Tiffany Haddish does not feel that she needs to take her clothes off for a role because she’s a comedian. During a discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, she goes on to compare herself to Lucielle Ball, Whoopi Goldberg, and other famous comedic actresses who have never appeared without clothing.
