Tamar Braxton is a drama queen, but it seems like these days, she is dealing with some real stressors that are causing her some health issues. The usually over-the-top star has had a tough year, and it seems like it is starting to weigh on the vocalist. Tamar was recently rushed to the hospital and had fans worried about her health.
2022 was a tough year for the Braxton family. After a year-long struggle with esophageal cancer, sister Traci passed away on March 12th. The sisters all took to social media with heartfelt tributes, with Tamar simply stating she was not ready to let Traci go. “My Dear Traci, come back.๐” she said in her tribute post. By April, she admitted that it was not getting easier for her and that every day she seemed to miss her sister more. “You just continue to live without. ๐ช on your last birthday, we all were so hopeful and Optimistic and said it wasn’t going to be your last one.” She concluded it by saying she would celebrate her sister every day, but admitted it was really tough.
The year would bring with it some silver linings for Braxton, who started dating a new man. She and Atlanta-based lawyer Jeremy Robinson began sparking dating rumors in August, with Robinson sharing pictures of Braxton to his Instagram account with the caption “happily in love.” Unfortunately, by November, Tamar admitted to things being done, with Robinson appearing to not be the man she thought he was. “These dudes out here is for everybody,” she told her followers. “I didn’t know this guy was so communal. Somebody could have told me that.”
She would have a major career milestone in October when her debut album, Love & War, was certified platinum. She shared the certification with the caption, “Real news for today. โจ love you bigshiz ๐๐ผ,” shouting out vocal producer LaShawn Daniels who passed away after the album was completed. 2022 also marks nine years since it’s release, which she commemorated in a post with fans. “9 years laterโฆ. WOW!!! So many memories!!! Thank y’all so much for this incredible ride. Every since I was 5 years old I’ve wanted to sing.” In the slideslow, she featured a recap for the project reminding fans that she put out six music videos, three singles, scored 3 Grammy nominations, and toured the project twice.
Tamar has been back on the road and back on our television sets. In addition to her time on Surreal Life with August Alsina, she has also been hitting different cities with the likes of Tevin Campbell, Monica, Fantasia, and Ginuwine. Tamar has always been a workhorse and was once hospitalized during a busy time when she was doing three reality shows, touring her album, and hosting The Real. Now it seems she is back in doctor’s care following a health scare that left her unable to breathe.
In a lengthy caption, Tamar explains that a day after shopping with friends and feeling fine, she felt like her chest was on fire. After being rushed to the hospital, she revealed she has the flu and feels like it is worst than COVID. She revealed she is currently isolated and highly contagious.
