Reality star Sheree Whitfield is mourning the loss of her father today. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mainstay took to social media to let fans know that she had been missing in action for a bit as she dealt with the devastating loss. Sheree Whitfield says she took some time away to mourn in peace.
Whitfield apologized to fans saying, “sorry boos,” before letting them know that she had been off the radar due to her father’s passing. She thanked those who were in the know already, saying, “So thankful for all the text, cards, flowers, etc.” In the post, she shared a photo of her father when he was younger. Her father was a veteran and can be seen in his formal army attire in a weathered photo. In the second picture, you can see her and her father in a more recent image. Dad looks into the camera while wearing a red beanie, and Sheree is all smiles rocking big blonde locks.
The final image, you can see his casket covered in an American flag. Soldiers salute as someone nearby plays the trumpet. You can see a rose come into the frame before the video ends. Sheree is a native of Cleveland, OH, and paid homage to her hometown with the hashtag “Cleveland Born and Raised.” While Sheree’s mother has made headlines in the past, her father has remained low key. Back in 2020, her mother was reportedly missing after leaving her home to make a stop by the bank.
In the comments, her famous friends showed her support. Porsha commented, saying, “I’m sorry for your loss 🙏🏾 Praying for your family.” Cynthia Bailey said, “sending you & your family my sincerest condolences.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.” Kenya said, “Awe, so sorry, babe; sending you love and prayers to you and your family.” Sheree thanked her fans again in the comment section, saying, “I can’t respond to everyone, but I really do appreciate the luv 🙏🏽❤️.”
As she said in her post, the SHE by Sheree CEO has been relatively quiet in recent weeks. She did take a moment to plug her clothing line following the announcement of her father’s passing. In her story, she re-shared a post from a friend wishing her condolences before going right back into promo mode. In addition to upcoming drops of her athleisure line, Sheree is scheduled to appear on an upcoming episode of That’s My Jam hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
