Meagan Good is a beautiful and highly desired woman. The Harlem star has been able to gracefully age from the covers of Teen Beat Magazines to the front pages of Essence, King Magazine, and more. While recent years saw her become the poster woman for new-age brides in the woke and social media eras, she has had to redefine her brand yet again as an empowered bachelorette following her divorce. However, no one thought the beauty would be on the market for long, and it appears that she might have a new man in her life following a few months of enjoying the single life.
Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin married in June of 2012. The couple was beloved by many for their openness about the role of religion in their union and how they saved themselves for marriage. For years they turned heads on red carpets and at events as one of black Hollywood’s most endearing unions. Unfortunately, the love would eventually fizzle out, and they announced in a joint statement last year that they would be going their separate ways after splitting in August of 2021. “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.”
Since their divorce was finalized in June, Good has kept super busy. Her show Harlem premiered to great reviews and has already been renewed for a second season. It follows “a group of four friends who follow their dreams after graduating from college together.” She also starred opposite Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s Day Shift, a vampire hunter comedy. Good is scheduled to reprise her role as “Super Hero Darla” in next year’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods. She is also a producer on the series Á La Carte, an ALLBLK Original.
With all this new work, it appears Meagan is also welcoming a new love. She has recently been linked to 28-year-old actor Peyton Alex Smith. Smith stars on Starz BMF and is also on the CW series All American Homecoming. Good is 41 years old, so many are comparing this new love to the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back. “Peyton bagged Meagan Good?! It is reported that Meagan and Peyton met while she was in Atlanta filming Shazam and hit it off immediately. Others have suspected that they are already living together due to their having identical backgrounds on recent IG lives. Their social media accounts currently do not show either of them together, and there are no pictures of the duo yet. Peyton barely has any posts, just one selfie, a picture with his costar, and a commercial for the upcoming season of All American. Good keeps very active on IG and appears to have been abroad recently and traveling the world, but no sign of who she was with.
