Master P Reacts To Claims He’s Broke With Sarcasm After Years Of Speculation

Master P’s wealth has been a topic of discussion for a while now. The hip-hop mogul made a fortune in the early 2000s off the back of No Limit Records. A series of smart investments and business ventures helped secure his and his family’s future, or so he wanted us to believe. These days it’s looking like that may not be the case. Master P addressed these rumors and says that he is in fact, in the midst of a rebuilding era and is broke.

Master P’s son Romeo Miller recently cast a great deal of doubt over his father’s fortune after calling out his dad on social media. According to Romeo, his father was not the baller he wanted us all to believe, and instead was spending the family’s money on maintaining a lifestyle. Romeo also accused his dad of spending all the money he made as a teen rapper and actor to pay off his taxes and had pocketed 15 years’ worth of money from Rap Snack. While the father and son duo patched things up for the holidays, it had everyone looking to see if Master P had been telling the truth about his wealth.

Wack 100 has also been adding fuel to the rumors that Master P is broke. Wack said that Master P could not afford his home and had a woman taking care of him. He also claimed P did not have “Nick Cannon money” and that he lost his masters 18 years ago. He also compared Master P to birdman and said, “P ain’t never been Baby. P has never in his life had the kind of money Baby had.”

Master P fired back, resharing a clip of himself and Nick Cannon discussing wealth on Nick’s now-defunct talk show. “A lot of people don’t realize there are three types of people in this world. It’s poor people, it’s rich people, and it’s wealthy people,” he told Cannon. P concludes that poor people talk money, rich people talk about material, and wealthy people discuss ideas. P addressed Wack directly in his caption, saying, “As a culture, we have to stop comparing, self-hating, and tearing each other down.”

P’s net worth is still reported at around $200 million by certain sites. He owns multiple businesses, including his cereal collaboration with Snoop Dogg and a vending machine company called The Ice-Cream Shop. Posing next to one of them, he said, “Dreamers create and build. The next level of business is acquiring companies and taking them public to create more opportunities for our people.”

Despite continuing to prove his wealth, many still doubt that P is doing ok. At this point, he wants them to believe the hype. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, P said that people from the projects have been calling to check on him and see if he’s ok.

When reminded of the rumors that he is broke by Charlamagne, P jokes, “you know what, I am. I got nothing. I’m staring over. This the rebuilding stage.” Do you think he’s telling the truth or trolling?
