Gospel legend Kirk Franklin has been celebrating the holiday season with his beautiful family. Unfortunately, there is one person missing from this year’s holiday images. Kirk and his son Kerrion continue to beef as the estranged Franklin calls out his father for not inviting him to the latest family portrait.
Kirk Franklin has four children in total. He and his wife Tammy Collins have two children together through their marriage and came into their union with one child each. Tammy’s eldest is named Carrington Franklin. Born in 1988, she was adopted by Kirk upon marrying her mother and has been raised by him ever since. Carrington was a make-up artist for a while before retiring to be a mother. Her IG profile lists her as “Maxx’s Wife. Shiloh’s Mama. Co-host of *In Real Life* on KF’s Praise Sirius XM.” Her husband is former athlete Maxx Nakwaasah. They are currently expecting their second child together.
Caziah Rashad Franklin is Kirk and Tammy’s second son. The young man describes himself as a “producer/storyteller/outdoorist.” His IG bio also reads, “Exaltation from Artistry.” The 22-year-old was born on September 5th, 2000, and releases music like his dad. He is currently dating Alena Pitts, who he recently celebrated in a post reading “a day with you,” showing them spending time together shopping.
The Franklin’s share a second daughter named Kennedy. Kennedy Franklin is 22 years old and a celebrated student and socialite. Born in 1997, her IG bio reads, “Baylor Alumna’19 • Baylor Coed Cheer Alumna • SCAD ATL Grad School • Dallas,TX | ATL.” She recently accompanied her father on tour and commemorated the ending of it with a post saying, “Last day of the tour🫶🏽50 concerts across the country @maverickcitymusic x @kirkfranklin.” In another post, she smiled with her dad as they posed in front of some flowers with the caption, “Like father like daughter🤞🏽 @kirkfranklin.”
Kirk had Kerrion prior to marrying Tammy. Kerrion has reportedly been troubled since young, dealing with issues of mental illness and sexuality. While his father fought for years to keep his issues private, Kerrion exposed his father last year, leaking a phone call of Kirk threatening to beat him up. For months, Kerrion egged his father on, taunting him and his biological mother on social media. Eventually, Kerrion would land himself a spot on the television series Bad Boys of Los Angeles, where he grew a small fan base.
These days, the social media fixture keeps his 140k followers busy with thirst traps, pictures of his outfits, and teasing upcoming music. He took to his story recently to share a post of his father alongside Tammy and their kids Kennedy, Caziah, Carrington, her husband Maxx, and their son. People had commented uder the image, “How about Kerrion? 😕” and “isn’t it someone missing 😕 😔 🤔.” The eldest Franklin child decided to air his dad out with a pointed message towards the Gospel hitmaker.
Kerrion reshared the image to his story with the caption, “I’m never invited to these pics. Let him enjoy his fantasy.”
