Karrueche Tran is an American actress, model, and social media star. Beloved by her fans, they are mourning with her today as she reveals the passing of her father, DeVon Minters. She took to social media with the devastating news and shared photos of herself and her dad.
DeVon Minters was of Jamaican-American descent and believed to be between 50 and 55. He and Karrueche’s mother, Cindy Adamson, separated shortly after Karrueche was born. Some believe this was due to Minters’ sexuality. Tran says she found out her father was gay when she was in middle school. DeVon and Cindy have a son as well named Raymond.
Karrueche is currently at Sundance promoting her film Divinity which was when she got the news that her father had passed away. “Divinity” was written by Experimental filmmaker Eddie Alcazar. Kaurrueche took to social media to let fans know that she’s had a tough seven days, from the getting the call and making arrangements for her father while trying to be present for the film premiere, which is something she’s always prayed for.
“Trying to celebrate my accomplishments while in pain…feeling so many emotions all at once and at the same time feeling numb,” she said in an IG story. She then shared two images of herself and her father, one when she was a baby and one when she was older. The third and final image was of them seated at a restaurant with the text, “rest in paradise, dad.”
Fans rushed in with support for the starlet, saying, “Losing a parent really hurts. Prayers to her and the family 🙏🏿❤️.”
