The trial kicked off eight days ago. When it began, everyone was looking for Kelsey Harris to be the star witness and open up about what she saw that evening. Instead, Kelsey walked in with a lawyer and immediately asked for immunity before giving a heavily edited version of her previous statements. She refused to name Lanez as the person responsible and claimed to have been too drunk to remember what happened that evening. However, she was adamant about letting the court know that Megan Thee Stallion was lying about the night and got them kicked out of the party for being too intoxicated.
Tory’s camp helped give the public some new revelations as well. In addition to confirming a romantic relationship between Megan and Tory, they also said that Megan was too drunk that evening and got kicked out of the party after displaying jealousy over Tory and Kylie Jenner getting too close in the pool. Lanez’s team tried to place the blame on Kelsey, stating that she and Megan had an incident after realizing they both had been getting intimate with Lanez, and Kelsey also had gunpowder on her hands.
Another key witness that could have changed the tide of the case was bodyguard Justin Edison. Unfortunately, Edison went missing prior to the day he was scheduled to testify. and is still unaccounted for. His disappearance had people believing that witness intimidation could have played a part following Kelsey changing her testimony and a juror having to be dismissed after being spotted in an elevator with Tory Lanez.

One witness who did not get scared off was Sean Kelly. He lived in the area of the attack and confessed to seeing people jumping Megan and dragging her to the car when officers arrived. He also said he saw several flashing lights but was unsure if it was a weapon. Kelly said he saw the flashes coming from one of the women and the “shorter man” which people believed to be Tory Lanez.
The whole trial was taxing on everyone, and a tearful Megan opened up about how it is all affecting her. “I wish [Tory] would’ve just [expletive] me if I knew I’d have to go through this,” she said on the stand after admitting to feeling violated by everyone focusing on her intimate life. Through all the noise and public opinion a verdict has finally been made in Tory Lanez trial. The singer has been found guilty of all charges and now facing more than 20 years in prison and deportation.
