Nia Long is finally taking some time for herself after a very busy last few months. Long went from her cheating scandal with fiance Ime Udoka into a very busy promotional schedule for several projects. Now she is enjoying some major R&R with a very sexy photo while on vacation in Japan.
Last fall Nia Long had everyone rallying around to support her after it was revealed that her long-time partner had been cheating on her. Ime Udoka was immediately suspended from his position of head coach at the Boston Celtics, and fans began to speculate as to what Nia Long’s plans were. The actress immediately began to focus on her kids, relocating to Los Angeles and sharing a photo of what many presumed to be a new home. Shortly afterward, she announced her split from Ime and got on the promo trail for several projects.
Nia’s first step back into the spotlight was in The Best Man: The Final Chapters. The television series brought a close to the film saga she had been part of for almost two decades. She joined Regina Hall, Taye Diggs, Terrance Howard, Morris Chestnut, and Sanaa Lathan for the franchise last hoorah. While promoting it, Nia Long compared saying goodbye to her character to some of the other ends in her life and admitted she felt like she was in a space of new beginnings.
After The Best Man, Nia Long got to work promoting the film You People. By this time, Long seemed to be getting back to herself and sizzled on red carpets with her cast. She stunned alongside Eddie Murphy and Lauren London. At one specific red carpet, Nia appeared to pull singer Omarion by the hand like a couple leading many to think the pair were an item. Omarion was open to seeing Nia, but the actress revealed she is very much single and healing.
Nowhere was this more visible than when she briefly broke down during an interview. “I appreciate that; however, I’ve managed to do that, it’s the thing that allows me to stay connected to the people,” she said about her anonymity. “I’ve had some pretty devastating moments in my life over the last couple of months, and I’ve had to just say it’s alright; you’ll pick yourself back up.” Nia Long then said, “I’m going to cry,” before wrapping up with the message that she was going to pull through.
Long is certainly doing just that. The actress is getting some well-deserved time off in Japan. She shared an image of herself in a hot pool with her rear end in the shot. “In my element 🇯🇵😘,” she said. In her story, she doubled down with a post about blossoming. She also shared some of the food and things she’s purchased while in Tokyo as well as a post saying, “U break yo own heart by making somebody more important to u than u are to them. Never play yourself like that.”
One person commented, saying, “Yeah, I know that man screaming internally looking at this … because my God,” alluding to how Ime must be feeling.
