The Rush Hour actor was a guest on T.I.’s expediTIously podcast, where he was asked why he never got married. Laughing at the rapper’s question, Chris Tucker admitted it was a “good question.” However, the 50-year-old comedian expressed that he “still has time.” While Chris Tucker is known for his jokes, the actor appeared to be serious when he mentioned that he still believes in love. Not only that, but Tucker revealed his plans that marriage would be his “next step for sure.”
Over the years, Chris Tucker has been linked to a few high-profile celebrities. It was revealed that at one point in time, the actor dated his Friday co-star, Nia Long. However, it didn’t occur while they were filming the movie. During an interview captured by I Love Old School Music, the actress shared that they didn’t date until years later. Chris Tucker also reportedly dated Colombian actress and model Vanessa Mendoza. She became the first-ever Black Miss Colombia in 2001. In 2005, both parties served as key speakers at Benedict College.
Multiple media outlets, including PEOPLE, had also reported that Chris Tucker had been married before. However, he eluded to never doing so in his T.I. interview. Instead, it was stated that he was married to a woman named Azja Pryor from 1997 to 2003. Whether that information is accurate or not, the couple does share a son together named Destin Christopher, who is now around his mid-twenties.
Chris Tucker also was involved in a crazy social media rumor that spread like wildfire. According to the tale that started sometime in 2020, Chris Tucker and R&B singer India. Arie had been secretly dating for over a decade. However, this proved to be untrue. The “Brown Skin” singer took to her social media pages to debunk the rumors of them being a longtime couple. However, she did share that they went on “a date or 2” many years ago.
